There is a legacy to this winery, in a few ways. Seven Stones is a producer that stayed under the radar for many years and consistently worked on making the best wines they could, honouring a particular style of robust, oak influenced reds from the estate vineyards in the South Similkameen Valley.
Recently, owner George Hanson passed away, leaving an unbelievable legacy of wine caves, barrels, old and new wine + a legacy of his vision of the Similkameen Valley.
Let's cut to the chase. The vineyards have been here so much longer than newcomers like Phantom Creek and Vanessa. So, George was a pioneer in this regions vineyard site selection.
Now, if you visit Seven Stones, you'll find a network of caves where these beautiful wines rest for years before release. This is almost unheard of in BC. A true, off the beaten path winery pouring mature, beautifully aged wines - historical and cellar worthy BC gems.
